Commissions & Premieres

New Music Commissions

In April 2020, Cantabile was awarded the coveted Award for Adventurous Programming from ASCAP / Chorus America, given to choirs who show outstanding commitment to commissioning new music. Commissioning new music gives our singers the unique opportunity to be the inspiration for living composers, to participate in the creative process of shaping new pieces, and to perform repertoire written especially for them. Music commissions leave a lasting legacy in the world of choral music for young voices.
