What to Know About the January Concert
- Winter Concert is fast approaching—4 p. m. on January 24th to be exact. For the success of the concert we need everyone to be prepared and ON TIME. Call time is 2 p.m. for everyone.
- Make sure you have ALL your uniform pieces ready and bring them with you to the concert. This includes Cantabile t-shirts or polo shirts, black pants, solid black socks, matte black shoes (not sneakers and no patent leather or high heels), ties for Chamber and Concert Choirs. Hair barrettes are no longer required, instead hair is to be pulled off the face in a black or neutral-colored hair-tie, if length permits. If you have questions about uniforms or are missing a piece please call your uniform coordinator Cynthia McNaughton cjmcn@ix.netcom.com 650-529-9305 or Sara Johnson saralove@pacbell.net 650-965-7272.
- No uniform is necessary for the January 22nd Dress Rehearsal.
- Dress rehearsal schedule:
- Preparatory Singers 4 to 5:30 p.m.
- Intermediate Choir 4:15 to 5:45 p.m.
- Concert Choir and Chamber Ensemble 5 to 7 p.m.
- Winter concert and Dress rehearsal are at First Presbyterian Church, 1140 Cowper Street, Palo Alto. View our more complete Driving directions.
Urgent Call for Concert Staff
Parent Chaperones, we need you! The role of Parent Chaperone for the concerts is very important. PCs work with the Choir Director to keep the children organized and ready to sing.
We still need 2 chaperones at each level of Prep, Intermediate and Concert for the January concert. No special training is needed, but attendance at dress rehearsal and concert is necessary. Thank-you to Liz Weingart (Int.), Dena Block (CH) and Maria Richter (CH) for volunteering to be PCs.
