Dear Bravi and VTG,
Good reading yesterday on Go Tell It; The parts are very independent at various points in the score, so you will need to make sure that you know your own part very solidly for next rehearsal.
Also, please watch this video of The Night Before Christmas: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=oAGCBZh2UkY . When you practice the song, please pay particular attention to the part that begins “And the smoke went around his head like a wreath…”
Let me just reiterate something that Elena said: if it is in your binder, you’re responsible to know it. Some of our combined repertoire was very, very sloppy last night, particularly some of the more difficult harmony passages in I Wish You Christmas. Remember, we are no longer splitting into three parts on any of the combined repertoire – tenors, you will just take the lower note. Some of you need to please make sure that you are more prepared next week.
I look forward to hearing you next week; retreat is a little over a week away!
