Dear Prep 2 Singers & Families,
I hope that everyone is well and taking care of themselves and their voices while the air quality is so poor.
Prep 2 singers have been busy these last few weeks working on our music reading/writing skills and continuing to rehearse our performance pieces. You can help your singer at home by encouraging them to work to memorize their music! Our song “Things I Am Thankful For” has three verses – please be sure that your singer is confident on each of them! “Manx Lullaby” is sounding beautiful and we continue to work on singing with a nice, gentle, and relaxed singing voice. We are excited to sing “Happy Holidays” for everyone at our in-class recital on Tuesday, December 11th, during our regular class time. Following the recital, there will be a class potluck. Please keep your eyes out for a potluck sign up sheet to be circulated via email.
All singers are required to wear their Cantabile uniforms for the in-class recital. The uniform consists of a red Cantabile polo shirt, a black skirt for girls and black dress pants for boys. All singers should wear black shoes and socks or stockings. Uniforms can be purchased from Merry Mart. You can find links to purchase at the very bottom of our uniform page in the members only section of the Cantabile website: http://cantabile.org/member/uniforms/
Please reach out to me (firstname.lastname@example.org) with any questions!
