Dear Prep 3 Singers & Families,
What a fun class we had this week! It was so nice to see all of the Prep 3 singers again on Tuesday. As a reminder – you will be receiving a monthly newsletter, SCOOP, that includes
important information about Prep classes in addition to this class blog. After this week, I will only be blogging every two or three weeks, in an attempt to not over-email you all! However, if you ever have questions about what we did in class, please feel free to reach out to me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
For Next Week:
-All singers should bring their music binders to class each week – with the Practice Log completed. They should write down 3 things they practiced (they were given instruction on what to practice for next week at this week’s rehearsal), indicate by circling “YES,” “NO,” or “N/A” if they completed the worksheet, if applicable, and have a parent sign off.
-This week singers could practice: Solfege with hand signs using the handout distributed this week, Happy Holidays, Snow is Falling, and S’Vivon.
This Week in Prep 3:
-We learned a new song and dance called Greet a Friend
-We shared information about ourselves from the All About Me worksheet!
-We reviewed solfege syllables and hand signs and each singer was given a handout with the syllables and hand signs for practice at home. We learned the song Rocky Mountain using these tools.
-We worked on three performance pieces, S’Vivon, Snow is Falling, and Happy Holidays!.
Have a great weekend!
