Amelia Turvey, Program Manager/Volunteer Coordinator

Formerly a teacher and charity fundraising event coordinator, Amelia Turvey is delighted to have joined Cantabile Youth Singers and is enjoying working with both the operational and artistic sides of the organization. Before moving to the Bay Area, Amelia taught French and Spanish to children grades 6-12 at a prestigious boarding school near London. As the school’s Head of Fundraising and Community Outreach, Amelia delivered a highly successful program of charity fundraising events and volunteerism, working closely with non-profit organizations who strove to improve the lives of children in their particular community.

Always a keen musician, Amelia grew up playing the piano and the clarinet, took singing lessons and sang with St. Albans Choral Society in England for many years. Sadly her beloved Chappell piano had to stay behind in England; however she continues to enjoy choral singing and rehearses each week with the Aurora Singers in Palo Alto.

Caty Chung, Program Associate

A recent graduate of the University of California, Riverside with a Media & Cultural Studies degree, Caty has a strong interest in building a career in the fields of marketing and/or event planning. She was born and raised in Cupertino and is excited to be back in the Bay Area to work with Cantabile.

Prior to leaving for college, Caty participated in competitive gymnastics for 10 years and is happy to be back in such a close-knit and supportive community that Cantabile provides. She also loves working with kids as she coached preschool and recreational gymnastics in the Mountain View area for three years. Caty is looking forward to joining the Cantabile Youth Singers team to continue its strong growth and be part of a program that helps children follow their dreams.
