Bravi and V.T.G. Rehearsal Blog

Dear Bravi,

You have started the new year off very solidly. Good job to all! I realize that some of your voices are shifting around as the year goes by, but you are all handling that well. Don’t let it phase you, and get used to it for a while.  🙂

It’s a new semester of music learning, so let me remind you again: if it’s in your binder, you need to know it. Just because we haven’t worked on it recently doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t be spending time on it.

Fever sounded very good by the end of rehearsal. Please now spend time “permanizing” the song into your memory. The notes go by very quickly, and you don’t have time to read them all accurately that fast, so you will need to memorize it instead. You will probably be performing this next week for the Vocalise girls, and I want it to sound as good as you can make it. Here is a good recording of the song (the one we listened to in rehearsal).

Please remember all the stylistic work that Elena put in with you all on Double Shot, and practice it with that tone. Also, please practice mm.25-30 and mm.48-53 to ensure accuracy of each pitch.

Finally, please spend some time listening to Bésame Mucho at this link.

See you on Monday!

Mr. Belles

Dear Bravi, Thank you for your hard work on Monday night. I always enjoy working with you, and particularly appreciate your willingness to work towards artistic excellence.
