Weekly SCOOP 12/12/06

Hello everyone!
Congratulations on a fantastic concert season! The kids really worked hard this fall, and they truly gave some outstanding performances. Thanks to all of you for being out there in the audience to support them - and for your wonderful volunteer help this fall. We couldn't do it without you! I wanted to mention a few things to all of you before the holidays arrive.

1. CD/DVD orders: If you would like to order a CD or DVD of our Holidays with Cantabile Concert on 12/2, please send me an email letting me know how many of each. Then, please mail your check into the office - 953 Industrial Ave, Suite 118, PA, 94303. Please mark on the check what it is for.
2. I do not know if there was a recording made of the SSVC concert, but when I find out more details about ordering that I will let you know.

• PREPARATORY RECITAL, Thursday, 12/14 at 4:30 pm, at Foothills Congregational Church in the Sanctuary: Come hear our young ones in Preparatory Choir sing this Thursday the 14th, under the direction of Keri Lindell! It is a short program, and is free and open to the public. There will be a reception afterwards in the Parish Hall.
• MUSIC FOLDERS - if you are in Vocalise/Ensemble and were ill for the SSVC concerts, I would kindly ask that you turn it in this week as I need to file it over break. PLEASE KEEP THE FOLDER AND RETURN ONLY THE MUSIC INSIDE. Here are your options for returning the music:

1. Please drop off at the Cantabile office on the following days/times; Tomorrow, Wed. the 13th from 10:30am-4:00 pm, Thursday the 14th from 10:30-4 pm and Friday the 15th in the afternoon from 2-4pm.
2. You can also drop off in the Parish Hall on Thursday the 14th if you are coming to the Prep recital.
3. If you are in Intermediate, you can bring your music to the first rehearsal in January and Shane will collect it. If you are in Prep, I will collect your music at the recital on Thursday.

• SAVE THE DATE: Wednesday , December 20th - PARENT/SINGER THANK YOU CELEBRATION from 6:00-7:30 pm. Location: Foothills Congregational Parish Hall. We would like to invite you all to come celebrate with members of our board and staff, and have a chance to socialize (which we didn't get to do after the concerts!) There will be more details coming from Barbara Weinstein, our board president, this week.
• I will be on vacation from Thursday 12/21 until Tuesday, January 2nd.
• Auditions for new singers will be Saturday, January 13th - please help us spread the word!
• Rehearsals will resume the week of January 8th -
