Weekly SCOOP 11/8/06
Vocalise/Ensemble
Hello everyone!
1. CONGRATS to Vocalise and Ensemble for a great concert on Saturday afternoon. Watching you all work with Veljo Tormis was fantastic! Thanks to Martin Benvenuto and PWC for that great opportunity!
Thanks to Desta and Steve Krong for our snacks this last Wednesday, too.
2. UNIFORMS
Please try on your uniforms immediately! Remember – too long is not a problem, (most pants will need to be hemmed), and if pants are a bit large, they can be taken in. Remember that your kids will grow! However, if things are too TIGHT, then that is a different problem. I have heard from a few parents that need exchanges – if I don’t hear from you by this Wednesday, I am assuming all is well.
3. CAMPAIGN LETTER STUFFING PARTY WEDNESDAY!
We will be quietly stuffing some envelopes this Wednesday during rehearsal for our major mailing campaigns. If you can assist, please let me know!
Intermediate and Prep
1. INTERMEDIATE PERFORMANCE
Attire: It will be cold so please bundle up with a winter coat. Feel free to wear a turtleneck underneath your concert dress as we will be taking off our jackets to perform. Mittens, scarves, Santa hats and other holiday accessories are encouraged.

3. ITEMS LEFT AT REHEARSAL
There have been several items left, including a plastic serving bowl, a blue/green fleece jacket, and some really nice mechanical pencils! These items and many others have been put in the lost and found box upstairs in the left hand side of our cabinet at the church. Please remind your singers to take their belongings with them – thanks!
4. ENROLLMENT CAMPAIGN
Please contact Karen if you are willing to post flyers or put bulletins in school newsletters about our upcoming auditions in January. Please also help us spread the word about our concert by taking some posters and putting them up! Libraries, Doctor’s offices, and businesses/malls are great places to post. Please let Karen know if you do take some so we know which areas have been covered. Thanks!
Many thanks and have a great week,
Karen
