Isaac Satz8 years with Cantabile
My experience at Cantabile started with me, a timid, small fifth-grader, entering a room to audition with neither experience nor knowledge of singing. At that moment, I had no idea what kind of influence Cantabile would have on my life. Now, eight years later and me being considerably taller, I have learned so much that I fear I will not be able to express it all in this paragraph. First, and probably most importantly, Cantabile taught me to be myself. The support and endless friendship from my peers allowed me to experiment, to try new things, and to not fear failure. I learned to stand up for myself, and to lead rather than to follow. Second, I learned to love singing. I constantly look forward to every Monday rehearsal, and leap at every opportunity I get to sing more. I know for a fact that I will sing as much as I can in college. Finally, Cantabile taught me to open my mind. I learned to appreciate cultures other than my own, and to understand rather than to judge. I learned that every culture and everyone is unique, and that they each have their own song to sing. Thank you so much, Cantabile, for all that you have done for me. I will never forget all these wonderful memories.
